I know that it has been a crazy long time since I have updated this blog. This reason is partly due to the fact that they decided to block a lot of the sites on campus because people were taking up all the space on the network because they were streaming movies etc. from netflix and the like. Also, my power cord broke, so I have to borrow someone elses.
I'm currently putting this together using the free wifi at Barns n' Noble.
So, In the three weeks since my last blog post lots of fun things have happened including becoming CPR/AED Certified, Driver safety training, diversity training, and I have been working on Independent Service Projects.
I have completed four so far:
The first two were with my friends from fire unit. We worked at a Habitat ReStore that was getting ready to open its doors for the first time. We painted rooms put up shelves and stocked shelves, and had tons of fun doing it!
The next project I did was with Bike Denver. I was with 3 awesome people from Sun unit at Denver Zoo, during their Halloween day parking Bikes.
We actually were able to go into the zoo for free to see the animals!!
Last but most definitely not least, was working with a horse rescue! Tons of fun and I got to pet the horses!!
During my down time (not much) I have been:
Playing Super Smash Brothers!
Sledding and winning snowball fights. (the snow has yet to stay for more then 2 days)
Hanging out with the wild life. (The squirrels and chipmunk very friendly)
Eating really cheap Chinese food from Scoops!
There was a Halloween Dance, I was a rag doll, My friend Tori was an 80's workout instructor, and my friend Ben was Peter Parker because we couldn't find him a costume but he had a camera. =)
We got our permanent teams, Im in Earth 6!
One of the first things we did was to have a black and white ball were our outfits had to be made with black and white garbage bags. My team won second place in the best dressed team, and my team leader Todd won as best dressed male team leader!
